The 2mm Dawn Patrol Spring Suit is a part of Rip Curl's core wetsuit range, a design where technology meets durability and affordability. A mid-range wetsuit, the Dawn Patrol has the benefits of excellent heat retention, plenty of stretch and durability, all without breaking the bank.

As with most spring suits, heat retention in the Dawn Patrol spring suits is not as important as with a steamer. E-stitch seams may not match up to taped or welded seams when it comes to water sealing, but less material means more stretch. Pair this with light and flexible 2mm E5 neoprene and you've got yourself a durable, high-performance wetsuit. More stretch means less energy spent and better overall comfort. Keep in mind you aren't just staying warm; wetsuits are a great way to protect against sunburn and board rash.

A 2mm spring suit is good for use borderline year-round in Queensland and Northern NSW, except maybe for the coldest period for water temps from June - August. Further south you might need a steamer for an extra month or two, give or take, either side of this.
